thumbs up....

shark week is back! and in celebration this week's thumbs up is about the week long series on the discovery channel dedicated to sharks. i love that shark week has entered the pop culture vernacular! everyone from nerds to nba athletes can't seem to get enough of it. it seems like such a random thing for people to go crazy over, it's supposed to be educational so it's not always super exciting.

i doubt that people are actually watching the show for it's educational value, but more to see poor unsuspecting swimmers narrowly escape the jaws of a great white. i agree that watching people get attacked by sharks is exciting however, i think it's more exciting to hear best week ever summarize it.
